About Dr. Ferzaad Moosa

Dr. Ferzaad Moosa is a board certified Ophthalmologist and laser refractive specialist who has successfully performed over 50,000 LASIK procedures. Dr. Moosa began his journey toward becoming a respected LASIK surgeon in Southern California, where he graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. His education continued at the prestigious Harvard Medical School, and then to UCLA for an internship in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Moosa’s training continued at the world-renowned Doheny Eye Institute/USC residency program, where he achieved the reputation of the finest surgeon in his class. He performed hundreds of microsurgical procedures including Intraocular Procedures, Corneal Transplants, and Glaucoma Procedures; however, his greatest interest was in anterior segment surgery which led to his pursuit of refractive laser eye surgery as his specialty.

Dr. Moosa went moved on to a highly experienced laser refractive center, where he received intensive training in diagnostics and surgical techniques of refractive LASIK surgery. Not only was Dr. Moosa very well thought of by his patients, his proven skills and caring nature also made him the preferred surgeon of staff members and their families.

At the center Dr. Moosa was responsible for training other doctors in the techniques of laser LASIK. In addition, he trained doctors and staff in how to select a good surgical candidate, how to properly educate a patient on the LASIK procedure, and how to properly provide quality patient care.
