The staff always had smiles on their faces and they were always there to answer any questions I might have. They even watched my daughter Mazie during one appointment! Now to you, Dr. Martin; when it comes to a person's eyes...it can be very unsettling to hear that you have cataracts and that surgery is needed. But your incredible "chair side manner" made me feel at ease and realize I was in good hands. Not only did you explain the surgery in terms I could understand, but you have a calming way about you...you made me feel like everything was going to be ok. You were also able to mix in your sense of humor and charm. After meeting with you I knew there was nothing to worry about! Since the surgery many people ask "how's your vision?" There are a couple of different ways I answer that question. First of all, I liken it to you watching regular TV and then you buy an HD TV...you notice the clarity and the definition difference the first time you watch your new TV. That's the way I feel everyday...I see everything clearer! Here's another example I use when people ask me "How's your vision"...before the surgery I never used to wear sunglasses. My wife always wondered how I could see, even when the sun was glaring right at us! Now after the surgery, because I don't have the cataract impeding my vision, I have to wear sunglasses outside like everyone else. Thanks again Dr. Martin! "Being on the wrong side of 30 it was time to start preventative wrinkle treatments, but I was nervous....I wasn't sure if it would hurt, or if it would even work.
